HIDDEN PUBS AND PRIVATE CLUBS
There was a time when the Nickel City had gin mills or social clubs on every corner in town. But as industries dried up and neighborhoods faded away, the corner taverns and private clubs that once proliferated our town, found themselves facing an existence without customers. Most are now distant memories. But a few remain to tell the tale of bustling factories and thirsty workers striving to build a better life for their families. Join us as we visit some of our favorite haunts during a springtime sojourn through our areas past.
