Gramza's Cigar Store - Lost 2000 1433 Broadway, Buffalo, New York
Leonard R. Gramza, opened his tobacco store in 1945 at 1433 Broadway (corner of Quincy), a business that he operated until 2000. His position as a popular businessman in Polonia led him into politics were he served as secretary for the Buffalo Parks Department in 1962 and was the city's deputy parks commissioner in 1964. He later became county park commission. Born in Buffalo, he attended School 44 and was a graduate of Hutchinson-Central High School. Gramza was a member of St. John Kanty Catholic Church. Gramza died on Aug. 28, 2001. He was 90.
