Welcome to the Historic Polonia District of Buffalo, New York: Located two miles from Downtown Buffalo, The Historic Polonia District is home to an unique collection of cultural, ethnic and architectural landmarks. With the founding of St. Stanislaus Parish in 1873, the area became the second largest Polish-American colony in the world outside of Poland.
Today the Historic Polonia District is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Western New York with nationalities from across the world calling it home. Discover century old churches, an old world public market, art-deco masterpieces and friendly neighborhood taverns. Notable sites include the Broadway Market, St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Church, St. Adalbert's Basilica, Corpus Christi Church, Buffalo Central Terminal, and The Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle.
